Shelby was the Director of Theatre at Patrick Henry Middle School from 2017-2023. She taught workshops across southeast Michigan for students elementary age to adult at Ann Arbor Civic Theatre, Engage at Eastern Michigan University, Theatre Nova/Ann Arbor Rec and Ed, the City of Farmington Hills, and the Woodhaven Recreation Department.
"Shelby just brought her experience in performance and as a director to help me think about the different things I could do to strengthen my interpretation of the monologues, and make strong choices that would resonate with the audience. Shelby also had a good mix of information she imparted during class, along with up-on-your-feet activities and stretches and exercises. I found Shelby to be extremely personable and willing to answer any questions I had...I'm really blown away by how much fun this all was."
