Theatre Nova is proud to announce they are among the outstanding community of theatres funded by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council for 2026.
This year, we are honored to receive a $41,712 grant from the Michigan Arts and Cultural Council, a remarkable increase from 2024-2025's $37,600. This generous funding allows us to celebrate 12 years with renewed vigor and ensure that we can continue our mission of promoting new plays and playwrights to a diverse and expanding audience. These funds will boost Operational Support for our 2026 Season, Facility Improvement & Equipment Purchases, Professional/Organizational Development, and Arts in Education for our community.
And as it is a matching grant, it encourages and stimulates our community to participate with even greater confidence. Donors, we must match the money we received from this MACC grant 1 to 1, so your donations are still vital to our continued success. Wish to donate? At a moment when public investment in the arts is uncertain across the country, this funding reflects Michigan’s commitment to sustaining a thriving cultural landscape. It affirms the value of new work, local artists, and theatre in our state, and strengthens our ability to serve artists and audiences alike.
Thank you, MACC, for your continued support of the arts in Michigan, and congratulations to all of the professional theatres in Southeast Michigan that received funding.
